This session was very helpful for the background work of being a teacher. It didn't teach anything especially helpful for incorporation and engaging students, but grading and other record keeping is very important and essential for teaching and Excel and other spreadsheets will aid the process.
I had some trouble figuring out Excel, as I had only used it in very controlled settings such as a high school science class, in which my teacher was walking us through every step. I watched the teacher made videos over and over trying to understand the process of using a formula to fill in the blanks on the spreadsheet. However, I am very glad I did because this process makes it so much easier. Because grading and other record keeping is some of the more boring parts of being a teacher, anything that can make it easier will improve the quality of our teaching. I got a lot out of this session.
