This session was extremely helpful in helping us to understand the types of students we are going to have in our classrooms.
I feel that the term "digital native" perfectly describes those students. They are born into the age of technology, so from the very beginning they are using it. Devices such as "V-Smiles", which are educational video games, are catered to children around the age of 4 or 5, meaning that the ages of people that are starting with video games is getting younger and younger. With this in mind, teachers need to be willing and able to incorporate games and other technology in their classrooms. This is what students are used to and this is what students will respond to.
