Adaptive Technology

I have had many classes in which I have learning about adaptive technology. I'm not complaining, though, because as future teachers, I think it is one of the most important things for us to be aware of.

We need to be aware that at some point, we are going to have a student with a disability; be it physical, cognitive, learning, or any other kind. We need to be aware that as teachers, it is our job to make every student feel comfortable and appreciated in our classroom. We need to be aware that there is going to be bullying and name calling, but giving every student a more even playing field will hopefully cause that the happen less. Many of these problems and more can be solved by being aware and understanding the different adaptive technologies that are out there and learning early how to access them.
